Disclosure & Disclaimer

Last updated 2 June 2026

This is the most important page on the site. It sets out, plainly and honestly, what Traveliase is, what it isn't, how we earn, and the limits of everything you read here. Please take a moment with it.

Traveliase provides general information and free tools only. Nothing on this site is insurance, medical, legal or financial advice. We are not an insurance broker, insurer, financial adviser or claims handler, and we do not sell, arrange or recommend specific policies. Always read the full policy wording and buy from a provider authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

1. Not advice — and not a broker

Traveliase exists to help you understand travel insurance and travel health in plain English. We publish guides and offer two free in-browser tools. That is the whole of what we do. We are not an insurance broker, insurer, financial adviser or claims handler. Nothing here is a personal recommendation, and nothing here is insurance, medical, legal or financial advice. We do not sell, arrange, quote for or administer insurance, and we are not party to any policy you choose to buy. Treat our content as a helpful starting point for your own research — not a substitute for professional advice.

2. Always buy from an FCA-authorised provider

When you're ready to buy, choose a provider that is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and read the full policy wording before you commit — paying particular attention to limits, the excess, exclusions and any conditions. You can check whether a firm is authorised on the FCA register (register.fca.org.uk). Buying from a regulated firm matters: it's how you get the consumer protections that come with regulated insurance.

Two policies that look alike on price can be very different on what they actually cover. The wording is the product — always read it.

3. How we earn — affiliate disclosure

Traveliase is free to use, and we keep it that way partly through affiliate links. In plain terms:

  • If you click through to a provider from our site and go on to buy, we may earn a small commission.
  • This is at no extra cost to you — you pay the same as going direct.
  • We do not operate pay-to-rank. Nobody can buy a better position or a kinder write-up.
  • Commission never changes the information we give. We'd flag the same exclusions whether a link earned us anything or not.
  • Where a page contains affiliate links, we flag that they may be affiliate links.

We think being open about money is the only way to be genuinely useful — see our About page for more on how we stay honest.

4. Health information

Our travel-health content and the health checklist are general information, not medical advice. Vaccination, medication and health needs are personal and depend on you, your destination and the time of travel. For anything specific, consult a pharmacist, your GP or a travel clinic, and rely on official travel-health and government sources for current requirements. Never delay or skip professional medical advice because of something you read here.

Travel-health information here is general and may not reflect your circumstances or the latest official guidance. Always check official health and government sources and speak to a qualified professional before you travel.

5. Accuracy and changing rules

We take care to be accurate, but cover, limits and exclusions vary between policies and change over time. So do things like the Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC), entry and health requirements, and official travel advice. We can't guarantee that everything here is complete or current at the moment you read it. Always confirm the current details with the provider and official sources before you rely on them.

6. Tool output

The cover checker and health checklist generate general information based on the inputs you give. Their output is not advice, a quote, a guarantee of cover or a recommendation of any product. They're a prompt for the right questions — not a final answer. The tools run in your browser and don't send your answers to us.

7. External links

We link to providers and to official sources. We don't control those sites, which have their own terms, privacy practices and regulatory status, and a link is not an endorsement. Please review any third party's own information before acting on it.

In short: general information only — not insurance, medical or financial advice; we're not a broker and don't sell insurance. Read the policy wording, buy from an FCA-authorised provider, and check official health and government sources.
