Travel Insurance Cover Checker

Travel insurance isn't one-size-fits-all. Answer a few quick questions about your trip and we'll show you the cover to look for — so you can compare policies on what matters, not just price.

1. How often are you travelling?
2. Where are you going?
3. What will you be doing?
4. Who's travelling?
5. Any pre-existing medical conditions?
6. Taking valuable gadgets or items?
Your answers stay on your device — nothing is sent to us.
This tool gives general information to help you compare policies — it is not insurance advice or a recommendation of any product, and Traveliase is not an insurance broker. Cover, limits and exclusions vary between policies; always read the full policy wording and buy from a provider authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Why "what cover" beats "what price"

The cheapest policy is no bargain if it doesn't cover the thing that goes wrong. Once you know which cover types and limits matter for your trip, you can compare like with like and spot a policy that's cheap because it's thin. A few things are worth more attention than the headline premium:

  • The emergency-medical limit — the single most important figure, especially outside Europe.
  • The excess — what you pay towards a claim; a low premium with a high excess can cost more overall.
  • Pre-existing conditions — declare everything; it's the most common reason valid-looking claims are refused.
  • Activity and item limits — make sure your sport, cruise or expensive gadget is actually covered.
